It Is Time To Have Family and Friends Time!

A Time to Talk
When a friend calls to me from the road
And slows his horse to a meaning walk,
I don't stand still and look around
On all the hills I haven't hoed,
And shout from where I am, What is it?
No, not as there is a time to talk.
I thrust my hoe in the mellow ground,
Blade-end up and five feet tall,
And plod: I go up to the stone wall
For a friendly visit.

by Robert Frost

This poem really struck me as I read it, because I know that I sometimes neglect my parents and sisters. I love them a lot, but sometimes I get really fed up with just people in general! I have already gotten a lot out of the start of school.  In "Carry a Big Stick" by George Grant, a biography of Theodore Roosevelt, he says,

"Once the Japanese ambassador was suprised to discover the president on his hands and knees roaring down the hallway outside the Oval Office chasing a gaggle of squealing children- a real live Teddy Bear. A distinguished British guest staying in the Lincoln bedroom was awakened late one night by a rambunctious game of touch football up and down the White House corridor. Right in the middle of the ruckus was, much to his dismay, the Leader of the Free World."

Grant says in his book that Roosevelt would postpone important meetings to spend time with family. Roosevelt  has set a great example for us, not only in politics and leadership, but in personal relationships. Make sure you spend time with your family every day. Just walk up and give a hug! It seems so small, but behind a one simple hug is a whole universe of warm fuzzies! Read more in my next post: The Deep Psychology of One Hug.

Update: I've decided not to do this post after all.

School: Mercy and Forgiveness!

Exam time! Mom gave me this question to work on:

"Sometimes when we do wrong, we feel like we are so bad we cannot be 'fixed' and then we use those bad feelings to continue
bad behavior. Explain how a person can stop this downward spiral."

Pray, Pray, PRAY! Ask for God’s help. If you don’t you’re in a hamster wheel, because you are not going anywhere, just running!

"I-I"(*pant,pant*)"I can do this by myself!"

In The Holy War, It took Mansoul three petitions to have Emmanuel forgive them for all the bad deeds Diabolus led them
into. They were really corrupted, but God NEVER abandons you!

God will always be your best friend! Christ died for us, a lasting death in His heart and in ours. This death of Christ causes pain
when we think of what He had to go through. He wants what is best for us. He is really excited about us coming, and we’re excited
about His coming.
